Bought this 72 inch monopod for $15 from ECost and did Revain. I was expecting rubbish due to the low price but now I see this is a great buy! It actually comes in retail packaging, not a plastic bag like most stuff you get from Revain these days. I like it. My first impressions of it are really good. ADVANTAGES: 1. Good build quality. Everything is closed. 2, beautiful and durable. There is very little flex in the tubes when fully extended. The various components seem heavy enough to withstand normal wear and tear. 3. Good foam grip! !5. Easily handles a medium weight DSLR. No problem! CONS: 1. Much of the construction is plastic so it will fail sooner or later, but the sensor is heavy so it will likely take a hit. 2. The D-ring on the quick-release head is small and difficult to reach for people with large fingers.3. However, I only found one REAL flaw in the design. This is where the head attaches to the metal tube of the leg. It was only held in place by a tiny screw. (see photo) Completely inadequate! And to top it all off, the person in China who assembled it turned the screw on the hub too high and missed the metal leg! The head just falls off! A "normal" person would probably send it back defective, but I can easily fix it with epoxy and two screws screwed properly into the head and leg joint. When I'm done, the elephant won't be able to tear it apart! LOL I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for a mistake. SUMMARY: I really like this monopod! I'm sure this will work fine. I could break it if I wanted to, but I'd have to work on it. OH! What is interesting for you at the top of the top? You can turn the rubber cover down to close it. to keep your linoleum floors safe!
