This article is not for sale

This article is not for sale. Its sole purpose is to hold the camera with a hot shoe mount. The plastic on this thing is so cheap and flimsy that when I first set the camera on a monopod, the plastic hot shoe broke and my camera fell to the ground (yes, my Canon 6D broke in that fall). Please don't waste it. Your money on this and save yourself the heartache I'm having now.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Weight

Height Goes with everything else Bust

The height is great. It's lightweight but can be a bit thicker for durability. The biggest disappointment is that I can't remove her head to use the liquid mount and I can't remove the spike tip to use the base. This makes it completely unusable so unfortunately I have to send it back as I bought it for the height. Most monopods offer this capability, but I haven't considered the lack of such a capability. If that were to change, I would definitely consider that in the future.

  • Elegant design

You get what you pay for.

Look closely at the price. You get what you pay for. CHEAP plastic, fragile container. ONLY buy it if you plan to install a very light (and inexpensive) camera. I think that would be enough for that. I didn't hate it (1 star) but I didn't like it (2). As soon as I unpacked it I knew it was going to be returned. Didn't know it would be so fragile. I planned to use it with D3300 and zoom lenses. No way. It's a toy. what was i thinking I sent it back and received a real capsule. Carbon fiberโ€ฆ

You get what you pay for.

Overall, you get what you paid for. This is a very light and compact monopod. The retractable segments of the stem itself move smoothly and make adjustments easier, but the top camera mount is terrible. The shoe that attaches to the camera attaches very loosely to the top of the monopod. Both front-to-back and side-to-side movements are an issue if you expect a stable shooting platform. It does make a tolerable cane, however. Save your money and buy something better, you won't regret not having

Amazing for the price

I have had this for several years now and always have it in my car. I haven't used it with a heavy camera/lens but I use it on my small camera all the time. I also bought a phone adapter for it and use it to stabilize my phone when I don't have a camera handy like when the sunset looks nice and I'm losing daylight so I don't want to drive home for a camera but I do really want to get the best shot. Update: After 3 years the top is getting a little wobbly but given how cheap it was and the factโ€ฆ

This monopod is the best and lightest

This monopod looked exactly how I wanted it, but after intermittent use for about a year and a half it became unstable. The "Quick Connect" function can no longer keep my camera and lens steady. I've tightened the screw on the connector so much I'm afraid it will strip the threads. Also, I've tightened the adapter that fits on the bottom of my zoom lens to no avail. What happens now is that after I've focused on the subject, I release the lens to take the picture, the lens drops about 1/2 inchโ€ฆ

This monopod is GOOD and bigger than a monopod

I photograph a lot of animals (often with a telephoto lens) and in many cases it's not practical to carry a tripod in the woods on a hike, and this monopod solves the problem in several ways. It extends and locks anywhere from its folded length of 21 inches to 72 inches (taller than a standard tripod), and this makes it much easier to use the camera's viewfinder and focus without tilting it at camera level on a standard tripod or to tend. The quick-change head fixes the camera securely in theโ€ฆ

  • Not as thick as others

Cheap but works pretty well.

Hooray. I'd say it's about as good as you'll get for the price. The quick-release lever allows the plate to lift up a bit if you pull on that side of the camera when it's attached, but it still feels pretty solid. I wouldn't feel safe holding a monopod with my small camera (Nikon D3300) on it, and I definitely wouldn't with a mid-range DSLR (I tested it with the Nikon D70). Sticks can definitely break, but as the saying goes, "Doctor, they [break] when I do this", "so don't do that". They areโ€ฆ

Very good value monopod

Bought this 72 inch monopod for $15 from ECost and did Revain. I was expecting rubbish due to the low price but now I see this is a great buy! It actually comes in retail packaging, not a plastic bag like most stuff you get from Revain these days. I like it. My first impressions of it are really good. ADVANTAGES: 1. Good build quality. Everything is closed. 2, beautiful and durable. There is very little flex in the tubes when fully extended. The various components seem heavy enough to withstand

Pros
  • Best in the niche

  • Unusable features
