I bought this a while ago and was very happy with the product. I didn't want to watch it again until I knew and understood what I was doing. It's been four months and I'm still working with this product. I've never dried flowers before, but I wanted to try because my mother has a beautiful garden. She has all colors and all types of flowers so I figured she wouldn't mind if I cut a few for some projects. She agreed, but only if I also made jewelry for her. Like anything else, you have a learning curve. The first time I let my flowers sit too long they still held color but were too dry. I mean almost burned out? If it makes sense Not that they caught fire, they were just dry and falling apart. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to find out just how strong this silica gel was. Normally with this 1.5lb amount I could have both a larger container and a smaller container of my flowers at the same time. I've been using the same jar for several months now and the blue crystals have turned white by now. I'm still using it and it still works but as it says to replace once they're all blue I thought now would be a good time to order another jar. When I ordered these the price was good compared to other well known silicas which are $30 here at Revain. I order it for $12 and it's on sale on Prime and Revain. However I am sad to see that they are not selling it or not right now? Hope they send the item back! The price was perfect and for the number of flowers I dried; that worked great for me.
