Review on Unbeatable Sure-Grip RX Toe-Stop: The πŸ† Perfect Choice for Maximum Stability and Control by Harry Ashcraft

Green is NOT a neon/green kelly screw which is difficult to screw in

This is undoubtedly a great toe stop but I was very disappointed when I went green/neon instead of Kelly as shown in the photos . It was darker, green-green. It doesn't match my skates so I might have to paint it. The screw on the stopper included in the kit is not equipped with a nut. So I had to use my existing nut to screw it into the skate. It took more than what I would call elbow grease to turn it. He only moved forward 1/8 turn using all my strength. And swear. Rinse and repeat about 40+ attempts. I even went to two hardware stores to find a nut that would fit better and apparently they don't make them. Either the supplied screw is defective and a bit wider than it should be, or my skate screw is defective. I know this is not my skate prop because I have put several other brands on these skates and never had a problem. I'm glad I finally stopped after about 10 minutes of arm and wrist pain and swearing.

Pros
  • Non-marking feet
Cons
  • Not the best
