Review on ISpring WGB32B PB Filtration Sediment Reducing by Tony Stone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great system / Plan your install!

This system is doing a great job filtering my well. PLAN to install in a location that may be humid. When changing filters, it's almost impossible to unscrew the filters without spilling some water on the wall and floor. Purchase and install a WSP pre-filter as it allows for easy pressure relief and significantly reduces water spillage. (I routed the plumbing outside, but draining into a 5 liter bucket or cooler will work even if there is now a drain.) Installing check valves and a bypass to isolate the filters is a MUST! This not only reduces water leaks, but also prevents large volumes of air from entering the plumbing, virtually eliminating air leakage from the plumbing after filter replacement. The pre-filter also extends the life of the main sediment filter and pays for itself with a few filter changes. Best $50 spent on the whole house of our new home! Even if you're on a fountain, especially. new or refurbished well, schedule a sediment filter change in the first 30-45 days. I have a water heater that was clogging the filter screen every 4-7 days after not clogging once for the past two months! The addition of a CTO Barbon filter also eliminated that slight taste which was better than bottled water! Finally, I didn't use the shut off valves provided with the install because I needed an inch line to the house and while it shows it can be installed as a 1 inch, it seemed to me and our plumber that it was actually connected to the plumbing. 1 inch line but actually scaled down to 3/4 inch so we spent a few bucks on a 1 inch cutoff. and add one more so you can complete the bypass line! I installed 60 days with no problems.
