I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this other than it looked really cool and could be a great way to teach my kid about places on the teach globe. When we first opened it, it was a lot smaller than I expected, but it was just a poor read on my part. Part of the globe is only about 3 inches in circumference so it's a bit difficult to see everything, but I can use a map on the internet or other source to supplement. First, just plug in the "C" shaped holder. Now you have to find some kind of middle ground to make the globe levitate. Once that happens, you can spin the globe, just look at it, or play with it. This would be great in the office or for older children. It's really cool, but a lot of jumping around him makes him break the magnet on top. I highly recommend it! All the adults played with him at Christmas. Rzhunimagu!
