We use these timers with our fryers. If you cook the same meal over and over again, this is the best simple digital timer you will find. The only downside (and I won't take a star off this one) is that it beeps every time you add a minute when setting. A direct entry Lux model without losing the original qualities of the CU100 would be very desirable. I've tried a dozen different timers and keep coming back to this at our restaurant. I keep trying to find a direct input keyboard, but most have been useless. Pros: - Great display, very easy to read - Loud alarm (don't believe those who say it's not loud enough, I've never found a louder alarm) - After the countdown, the timer resets to the time you entered - AAA battery is easy to replace and lasts a long time. Cons: None. Some people think the magnet is too weak, but for me it's pretty strong. We still use the clip. Employees have broken the clip before, but that was usually due to their negligence. This is a great timer.
