For the price, this sharpener does the job well. My husband has large hands so there wasn't enough room between the handle and the bar. He had to adjust to his ankles but the pitch was good for me. Stable. I had to make sure I was holding my knife and found it sharpened a few times as it had some rough edges to begin with. The knife cuts better after use, but the noise it makes gives me goosebumps like nails on a blackboard. Overall a good product, especially for the price!
