Review on Summer Infant Chatham Post Safety Gate: Auto-Close & Hold-Open, Grey Wash & White (28.5 - 42 Inch) by Laurie Fisher

I honestly bought this gate because it looks better than others I've seen in stock. I was pleasantly surprised that not only does it look great, but it fits well and is very durable. I bought some wall protectors to protect the wall and make it more durable but they haven't arrived yet and it looks like we won't even need them. It fits our 40 inch hole very well. Some other comments mention that it's hard to open, which it certainly is. You have to pull hard and then pull/push. My husband and I made it, but my 6 and 8 year olds didn't. We bought the gate for our new pup, not our kids, so that was an issue. That being said, I found an easy fix! The gate snaps into place in 3 x places. All you have to do is put tape on 2 of the 3 small buttons (shown in the picture) and now it just snaps into place with a thumb button closure, no tightening required. Much easier and suitable for our purpose.: )Very happy with the purchase!Almost given 4 stars because we had to fix the Macgyver to open it more easily. but it was so easy to do and the gate looks so nice that I gave it a 5 in the end. :)
