This great wall shelf is perfect for homes with 16" racks - most of them are, in case you didn't know. The brackets on the slat wall are positioned exactly to allow them to be attached to 16" racks. Because of this, installation is very easy - assuming you want the slat wall to line up with the studs. I did, so "It suited me well. I'm still working on the placement of the various hooks and shelves. I've decided not to hang my bike on a rack but will be using it for my helmets, bags and other gear. I like the variety that they offer kit and the options available.The black powder coating is superb as is the fitment and overall assembly of the components.I have moved the shelves around many times and that involves pulling back the bottom and unhooking the top.All the while, in the I moved the shelves, I didn't damage the powder coating, it's barely scratched, which impresses me.
