I strung these in our front window and keep them on the twinkle setting. They look really nice and haven't gotten warm despite being on continuously. Mine did not come with anything to hang the strand from so I put a few nails in the window frame to hang them from. You could probably use command strips, but get the heavy duty ones.the strand is a bit heavier than it looks!
