Before we had 3 different hammers, usually a combination of wood and Metal. awesome faces. Everything has cracked over time (and hasn't been washed in the dishwasher). Those with metal surfaces were so sharp they cut through plastic wrap or waxed paper. This hammer from Cave Tools is unlike any I've ever seen. It's light enough for anyone to use, but it's much better at tenderizing the meat to an even thickness. The rib has no sharp edges, so the plastic you place on the meat stays intact, so there's no mess to clean up. I don't think we'll ever need to replace this tool and we love it so much we plan on buying it as gifts in the future.
