Simplified Sushi Set - Beautiful and Simple Sushi Set I have been a sushi fan for many years and I love sushi. Always handmade and treated with art and accidentally found this bazooka sushi set? Hm? Thought now it would be much easier to quickly make some sushi rolls. I was right: once you get the hang of it, you can experiment with different types of sushi. Great set - it has almost everything a sushi beginner needs. The bazooka is definitely easy to use. Lightly coat each side with oil - use the small brush provided. I use avocado oil. fill both sides with rice - be careful not to overfill. Use a pestle and place it over the rice on both sides to make indentations for the ingredients. There are so many different ingredients you can use and a great sushi book for beginners with photos will help you quite a bit if you are new to sushi. I always wrap the mats in cling film on both sides - this makes it easier to roll and keeps the ingredients in place. Have a small bowl of water next to you to wet your fingers so the rice doesn't stick to anything. Make sure you use sushi rice. I use Sisters Sushi Rice available from Revain - the avocado cutter is handy and works with semi-hard avocados. The ducks are chopstick holders to keep the chopsticks off the table. A nice addition - Good artistic ducks! The knife supplied is fine, I sharpened mine before use, the cut is important because if it is a dull blade the roll will turn to mush if not cut cleanly and quickly. I would even use a fish fillet knife if you have one. Seriously, the customer service with this company is top notch. I wish all customer service was like this company. Later you can always add sushi molds for shapes other than simple sushi rolls.
