Install it yourself and save money

This is the second Dorman window regulator I have purchased and installed myself. I also bought and replaced the driver's door with great results. I did this on my 2008 Ford Expedition EL. When the driver's side window inner brace failed six months ago, I called a national network that only replaces auto glass, windows and windshields (if you're watching TV or listening to the radio, you've probably heard their name and business bell). ). ), and I got an offer from them for $500. I found this product for $91 for the driver's door and $101 for the passenger's door (not sure why the price difference but whatever). I ordered the product and it arrived incredibly quickly. When I opened the inner door panel to reveal the hardware, I was afraid I would smack them over the ears because it looked very complicated. I replaced it and everything was assembled, now it works and looks like new. All in all it took me about 1.5 hours. Half a year later, the window of the front door on the passenger side fell out the same as the driver's side half a year ago, and I came here and bought it without hesitation. With my experience of the first door, I was able to open, swap and assemble this door in an hour. Assuming I had to pay the same amount for the passenger door, my national network bill would be $1,000! Working independently cost me $192 + 2.5 hours of time. That's a savings of $808! Do yourself a favor if you have a basic understanding of nuts, bolts, and screws. Buy and do it yourself. If you are really nervous, just watch a short video that explains exactly how to remove your car's inner door panel, after that it will be very easy. Thank you Dorman for the very fast service, clear instructions and a product that is a lot easier to install than it sounds!
