Review on ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Shield Your Ride in Style with Serfas Slider Style Bicycle Fenders by Adam Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Requires some work: Cycling

Installation was fairly easy, but it would be nice to have instructions on how to install PROPERLY. They were pretty loud when I first put them on, but I decided to live with that. At some point, the seat stay connection next to the rear brake started to squeak. It drove me crazy so I redid everything. I put tape on the seatstay connector to muffle the noise (this part needs work). So now I have clamped the wing with all connections and the noise is gone. Unfortunately, this makes the wing very fragile. Before reinstalling the fenders I was hit by a car and one of the fender arms broke off, luckily I was able to reinstall it in a different spot (a plus point considering the traditional version versus the slider). I feel like now that they are properly installed they are even more prone to breakage. My final thought is that the wing arms protrude from under the wing and hook with your feet when the handlebars are rotated (e.g. off a point). So that could be a good reason to use traditional wings. or you could just use wire cutters to snip off the ends of the arms. Overall a decent product but needs some work. Also, I have silver and it looks great on my bike.
