    Bike Fenders: Cycling

    All I needed was a cheap bike fender to keep water and dirt out. I bought them without expecting much due to the very low prices. I was very surprised by the quality, features and design when I received and installed it. I believe they will last for many years. Great article and a great way to stretch your money!

    Wings Serfas Slider

    Wings work well. It wobbles a bit if not adjusted properly. They put them on me at the bike shop, but they ended up putting them on differently than I did and maybe that caused some hesitation. The metal wing holders work fairly well and are easy to adjust. For the price they work very well and save you the brown line on your back!

    Easy to set, easy to break.

    While I appreciate that you can move the clamps to adjust the fender to fit many different configurations (I have disc brakes and a rack and it's difficult to put everything together), these fenders are very adjustable and fit Well . but they only lasted one season and now 2 out of 8 clips are broken and the fender has snapped so i had to move the other clips to different parts of the wing to hold them together. Only buy these fenders if the traditional springs interfere with installation. I…

    Serfas Slider Wings = adequate help

    When I bought it I was looking for good aftermarket wings. I ride a hybrid/comfort bike. It doesn't have spikey mountain bike tires or flimsy road tires. The protector has an average width. I chose them because the color matches my bike. The product information boasted "universal fit". The price was right (cheap). The installation was a disappointment. Fitting was tricky but once on the bike they looked great! However, there are growing problems. The slider clamps cannot be tightened enough and

    Installation was fairly easy, but it would be nice to have instructions on how to install PROPERLY. They were pretty loud when I first put them on, but I decided to live with that. At some point, the seat stay connection next to the rear brake started to squeak. It drove me crazy so I redid everything. I put tape on the seatstay connector to muffle the noise (this part needs work). So now I have clamped the wing with all connections and the noise is gone. Unfortunately, this makes the wing very
