When I bought it I was looking for good aftermarket wings. I ride a hybrid/comfort bike. It doesn't have spikey mountain bike tires or flimsy road tires. The protector has an average width. I chose them because the color matches my bike. The product information boasted "universal fit". The price was right (cheap). The installation was a disappointment. Fitting was tricky but once on the bike they looked great! However, there are growing problems. The slider clamps cannot be tightened enough and will NOT stay in place. Wings flap when riding. They end up rattling so much that they slip out of position and rub against the tires. Forget peddling around corners, you'll get hit at the bottom of the front fender. If you need a temporary wing that can be taken on and off depending on riding conditions or weather, a temporary downgrade for the price might be worth it. But you probably won't keep them. I've had these wings for over a year now. They've been on my bike twice, but hung on a hook above my workbench for at least ten months.
