Haha! I laughed when I opened the package. While the spatula is nice—a solid piece of metal with a smooth edge—I kind of didn't understand that it was only 7 inches tall (as the title says). The size. I was looking for a replacement for my old metal spatula that had lost its grip and ordered this based on two rave reviews. I think it will only be useful for purposes other than cooking. Maybe as a scraper or artistic tool. Cook, I'll look for more. If it was 10 or 11 inches that would be great. Update: I've actually used this *little* spatula for cooking quite a bit. The small size comes in handy sometimes, for example when cooking in a small saucepan or turning biscuits on a silpst. It's also great for scraping food off my cast iron skillet (although I wouldn't want to use it on cookware that scratches easily.) Update #2 - Purchased January 2015 and after six years this thing has become one of my favorites become favorite phrases. Chen tools. I use it almost every day and it's holding up great, still looks brand new. It's strong and durable, perfect thickness. It deserves another star! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
