Bob I've had it for 5 days now and here are my mixed pros and cons: - vacuums floors - returns to its station - easy to set up - not too noisy - remote control is very convenient and maybe my favorite part - easy to switch from Carpet on hard floor - No major issues so far - Not smart and doesn't map rooms so he just stumbles drunk - Mopping ability not impressive. It's just a cloth that you attach to the bottom. For some reason I thought there was some cleaning going on, but that was just my imagination. - cannot reach all rooms at the same time. We keep him in the dining room because it's the least used room and he spends too much time jogging there. The remote control is very handy as you can quickly take it to a new location if it seems lost. It requires 2 feet of open space on either side of the charging station and 10 feet in front of it, so finding a good spot in our furnished home was a challenge. - Does not go well with small soft fabric rugs such as rag rugs. Bundle it. So let's just swap it out. We ran it every day for 4 days in a row. On days 1, 2 and 3 he had about the same amount of dust, lint, dirt and on day 4 it seemed less. However, it doesn't clean the entire floor evenly on every run (misses a lot), so we'll run it every day, assuming it vacuums about 1/3 of the overlapping floor each time and manages to get it all in. 3 to 4 days. - unexpectedly my kids 6 and 2 like him a lot and take their toys when he comes so he doesn't eat them. I really hope this excitement continues. To be honest, my wife and I also clean up a bit just to keep the paths clear. It got stuck under our dishwasher and by the second day it was scratching which is a bummer. Although the big scratch on his face I think adds some character. Now he's a little more intimidating. Overall I'm happy for the price and glad we made the purchase. We wondered why we hadn't bought a robot vacuum sooner and then remembered that the Roomba (Original) is significantly more expensive. I recommend buying if that's your budget. It's not super efficient, but it's good enough, comfortable, and fun. It's also worth mentioning that I have a dog that doesn't shed, so pet hair is not a problem for us.
