Color slightly fading

We bought these to use with the Joseph Studio Christmas candle holder. They were too big to fit, but when we tried, we found that these candles were white on the inside and were just dipped in colored wax, which immediately began to crack and splinter. If the paint has chipped on the bottom they will fit in the holder but we had to hang an evergreen garland around the base to hide the ugly chipped bottoms.
