Christmas Advent Candle Set U S Review

Terrible quality. These are white candles with a thin layer of paint. Candles do not fit a standard sized candlestick. I am very dissatisfied. When I tried to insert them into the holders, the colored veneer cracked, revealing colored and white shards underneath. Don't buy them.

We bought these to use with the Joseph Studio Christmas candle holder. They were too big to fit, but when we tried, we found that these candles were white on the inside and were just dipped in colored wax, which immediately began to crack and splinter. If the paint has chipped on the bottom they will fit in the holder but we had to hang an evergreen garland around the base to hide the ugly chipped bottoms.

I've never seen candles splatter like that. I didn't notice until after I'd lit them for just a few minutes each day of Advent, they left lots of tiny dots of wax across a large area of my granite countertop. Since the countertop is multi-colored and dark, I didn't see a lot of wax buildup, but I did feel it when I cleaned the countertop. I had to use a razor blade to remove all of the wax. I'm very glad I didn't have an Advent wreath on unprotected furniture.

Looks good, had no problems with the outer paint chipping and indeed as the candle cools the paint fills in the white centre. If I hadn't been told they had a white center, I wouldn't have known. These candles make a mess because they burn out so quickly and run down the sides into the candle holder. Although we light them for 20-30 minutes a day, they don't last the whole of Advent. Next time we shop we will look for larger candles with a small/tapered base to match our wreath. These narrow…
