I bought this to make easy pancakes for kids. I like that the handles are removable and it's easy. This simplifies cleaning and storage. Another thing I like about it is that all the electronic components are on the cable. Since conduction is used to heat the pan (electricity from the wall heats the metal pin in the plug and the metal pin touches the metal rods under the pan which transfer heat to the pan's surface), you can submerge the pan for cleaning. That. A word of caution: I doubt that the metal connections to the bars and the screws holding the various parts together are stainless steel. So if you submerge the pan in water, dry it immediately and thoroughly so that the joints and screws 'trust loose'. The only criticism is that the pan does not heat up evenly. So when I'm making pancakes, some areas (i.e. just above the bars) heat up faster than others.
