I bought two of these to sync with two helmets so I can communicate with my wife while riding. I actually bought a helmet with a built in microphone and speaker but wanted to upgrade it. The Fodsports headset was definitely an upgrade! Installation was very easy. I thought I would have to remove the old speakers but they slide in easily and I installed them in less than 15 minutes. The helmet mount is made of metal and is strong enough to keep it securely in place anywhere. Speaker Quality - It can get loud enough to hear comfortably when you're driving down the road at over 70 mph. Bass and treble were good, not overly high but definitely not tinny. Noise-cancelling is a must - my other speakers didn't have it - and removing wind noise is a big deal. Microphone - It comes with a button and an arrow. My helmets are full face helmets (safety first!) and I've tried both versions of the mic. Couldn't really tell the difference. If you have a modular or open face, the dart style will suit you. It comes with lots of double sided tape so I attached a button to the front of the helmet. two helmets. It worked fine (my phone died but not my headset!). In autumn I ride my motorbike every day and once a week I take the device to be charged. There are no problems with the battery. I really like how easy it is to load. My built-in headset battery was hidden in the helmet and the charger was difficult to leave inside. I also had to take the whole helmet with me. The Fodsport retracts and has a USB-C charging port, making it very easy to use. Ease of use - I like a few buttons. There is an intercom button, the shape of which is different from the function button. Also noticeable with gloves. One click and it goes from iPhone connection to intercom. Any driver can initiate an intercom. One push of a button and it's back to iPhone music (and turn-by-turn directions). The function button is larger and integrated to pause the music. I really like that I can share music - both riders can listen from an iPhone. The feature is easy to set up, hold the plus for 3 seconds when both devices are on and you're done. Using Siri works well. You need to press Volume + and Volume - at the same time. This isn't difficult, although I'd like it to be just one button. Answering incoming calls works well too, but you'll need to "learn" a bit to know which button to press when a call comes in. It has an auto answer feature but I didn't want to auto answer my calls so I set it up to require me to answer the call. I only have 2 so I didn't test more than 2 intercoms. . I will say the range seems pretty good, my daughter went about 200 yards and it still worked fine. All in all a very reliable headset at a good price. Exactly what I was looking for.
