I bought this primarily to reset the oil change reminder on my Huracán, which requires a fairly specific (and unintuitive) set of steps to complete the process. At first the VD700 didn't reset the reminder so I contacted the manufacturer for assistance. Wow. They were amazingly responsive, sending me quick replies and providing me with new firmware versions to try while they figured out what went wrong. I emailed late afternoon or evening and I usually got their reply when I woke up the next morning, so I'm really impressed with how quickly they responded to any new version to try. After a few updates, I was finally able to reset the reminder. For a unit in this price range, and for a specialty vehicle that I'm sure has very few customers, I wasn't expecting a personalized service to help diagnose a problem, but they were really there to help me support. The scanner itself feels solid and the cable is long enough for you to be comfortable using the device when plugged into the OBD2 port. The user guide would benefit from more examples showing all the steps for manual functions. Once you understand how the scanner menus work, it should be fairly easy to use, but if you need to set any parameters in your car manually (rather than using the built-in automatic procedures they provide for the most common procedures), read the manual for more detailed examples. For example, if you need to manually set a channel value (in VAG mode), you can select a channel number and then ask for a value to write to it. It's not clear at this point if you'll have a chance to see the existing value before overwriting it with the new value (it turns out you do, and you'll have a chance to preview before committing withdraw), so that made me nervous to click Next. If you don't need to go beyond their automatic procedures, they're very easy to use even without a better user manual. Despite some rough edges with the user manual, it's great value for money and the manufacturer's support has been better than I expected.
