I've read a lot of really good things about the MPRO-7 LPX but to be honest I don't get it. It works well as a lubricant, but will still set into a brown jelly at normal room temperature. If I shake it it liquefies again and seems to work fine, but as a gun lubricant I don't understand how it works. I can't imagine pulling out a gun and then shaking it violently for a few seconds before it's ready to use. It seems to hold up well as both a lubricant and protectant, but this tendency to thicken under normal conditions makes me refrain from using it in machines where there is no way to 'warm up' before use. For such a price (not a cheap thing), I expected a lot more. I have contacted the manufacturer twice and received no response. Again, for what they charge for this material, I expected more. I switched to QMAXX Black Diamond, so far it works just as well as a lube and can stay liquid.
