Review on OXO Good Grips Handheld Spiralizer: Effortlessly Create Healthy Veggie Noodles by Yvonne Mok

Let me start by saying that this is the first Oxo product that I have not liked. I have many Oxo products including a salad bowl, vegetable peeler, mandolin and more. There I find products that work well and look attractive. But I don't like the manual spiralizer. This is good for soft veggies like zucchini IF the veggies are flat and straight. But for veggies like carrots, forget it. 1, it is too difficult to turn over without hurting the wrist 2, the carrot pieces are short, 3, the vegetables must be thick. So forget it if you have skinny carrots - they should be huge. Also, the top - which can be used when the veggies are running low - will shred and fling instead of staying on top of things like turnips - they're just too tough. Eventually the end piece is lost and difficult to remove from the device. I'm sad because I wanted this to work. I have a small apartment in New York and there just isn't room for large spiralizers. The search continues.
