Not an ideal replacement.

The part arrived just in time for me to fit it before I had to leave the window open on the 3rd night. I need my sleep! I expected perfect detail but it wasn't. The original had grooves that made it easy to install and remove the wiring harness. On the other hand, this element, although installable, is almost impossible to remove; Without the necessary grooves, the cable harness is permanently fixed. Also, the power window lockout switch doesn't work and the driver's power window button is faulty (doesn't always respond to roll). The door lock function also works uniquely. For safety reasons, the lock function must not work with the original part when the door is open. With this piece, all doors are "locked" whether doors are open or not. Here's the thing: the doors are still open! The button signals activation of the door locks, but the doors remain unlocked. Not ideal when safety is a priority. I don't like the feeling of falling asleep at night knowing my car doors may not be locked. I have decided to leave this part because of the area I live in. time I live in now. I can always manually lock my doors if the buttons don't work. But with the window down, no! I invite practically heartless villains to woo my baby! I hope this honest review helps those considering purchasing this product. You will not get a perfect replacement with this item. In my situation I am keeping it for my current need.
