Review on πŸͺ’ Vikings Blade 'White Knight' Luxury Shaving Brush: Heavy Steel Base with Faux Ivory Acrylic Bristles by Lisa Walton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than the original for a while - then it fell apart.

Funny I never wrote this review when I bought it. Only after a year most of the bristles came out on the inside. Very disappointing. Now when I use it I have some bristles on my face or head. Spring. Read below. I liked him for about a year. I've been using "une blaireau" since I saw my first fragrance in a Masculine boutique in Paris in 1976. As a student I passed this shop in Paris many years ago and knew I had to start using a badger hairbrush like my father did. I bought the cheapest. Then, as a solicitor in Paris, working for a large London law firm and making more money than I did as a student, I went to London and looked for shaving shops to replace my worn out cheap badger. I bought a very high quality shaving brush that I have been using for over 20 years. I now have both travel and homemade quality badger brushes. So for someone who has been using badger brushes for over 40 years, I was skeptical about the faux brush. After reading the reviews, combined with the fact that my homemade brush is very large, I thought it might be worth a try. To be honest, while I didn't want to give this brush my preference, this is by far the best shaving brush I've ever used. For real. I've spent a lot of money on high quality brushes and this one is far superior. I was inspired to write this review today (I bought it 6 months ago) because I was so pleasantly surprised that this brush holds the heat of hot water better than a badger. I shave my face and head. The badger hair brushes I have get cold pretty quickly and I always rinse them under hot water. With this brush I didn't have to do that. It holds heat very well. It's also very, very soft. What more can I say, I love this brush.
