I recently replaced the water pump on my 2010 C300 with this one. In case it helps anyone, this water pump has screw holes for two threaded washers. So there is no need to resort to yourself or anything like that. The gasket is metal and was wrapped in a piece of cardboard so it was nice and flat. It's only been a month, but it seems to be working fine. "Made in Germany" is written on the pulley itself and "Germany" is also written on the spot where you route the radiator hose. A little caution (does not apply to the water pump). After installing the new water pump, be sure to bleed the cooling system properly. I did it "the old fashioned way" with the lid off and no vacuum system. And I bought one of those "non-spill funnels" but it didn't come with a matching radiator adapter cap. It was difficult for me to bleed and it took days (again and again) to go away completely. This car says it's self bleed but I had a lot of air in my radiator so just a few general tips. I have also replaced the tensioner and upper/lower pulleys and a new genuine MB serpentine belt. Everything is completely still.
