The old engine was dead. Sometimes it rolled down and never got up again. Sometimes slamming the door would restart it, which is related to the orientation of the motor, so grease could get into the motor brushes. I'm not sure if this motor will solve this design problem, but it works well, is easy to install, and costs a lot less than OEM. The auto toggle on and off worked great and didn't require any action/reset on my part in my Nissan Titan. The motor is definitely a bit smaller than the OEM motor and seems to move the window a bit slower, but it's more noticeable when the car is off and the battery is outputting 12v. With a 14v alternator I hardly notice a difference.
