I bought this bag because we were going on a cruise and I wanted to be sure I had a protected place so my phone and money didn't get wet or dirty when we went there walk the beach. During one of our stopovers at the harbor we did a kayak tour. I brought a bag with my phone, some cash and our IDs in it, I slung it around my waist and completely forgot I had it with me when we got into the kayak. In less than 5 minutes we capsized the kayak and dove into the water (my husband and I are completely uncoordinated as we found out during this trip). We got back in the kayak and in less than 10 minutes we turned around again - this time in the middle of the lagoon. I was fully submerged in the water for at least 5 minutes before being lifted onto the jet ski and brought back to shore. this means that this bag was also completely immersed in water for the same time. When I got back to shore and found the bag still with me, I was afraid (and I am afraid) to open it to see if anything could be salvaged. To my complete satisfaction everything was completely dry! This case saved my phone! I highly recommend buying this if you plan to do any water sports - just remember to secure all 3 zips, roll up and secure with velcro - it really works!
