The Intel i9 Core processor line offers good value for money. It's more expensive than AMD's Threadripper line of processors, but there's good reason for that, too. The main thing for me is that apart from the crazy multi-threaded game that processor manufacturers are playing these days, the performance of Intel processors in a single-threaded environment is undoubtedly superior to AMD. What AMD seems to be touting to us these days is more cores. Well, what most people don't realize is that just because your processor has more cores doesn't make everything run faster. To use all of these kernels, you need specially compiled software. So it happens that many computer enthusiasts download the latest and greatest CPU testing tool and run their tests with it. Unfortunately, this is not a realistic scenario as most of these tools are designed for multi-core testing where in real life your software or game may not be configured for extreme multi-threading. Therefore, in my opinion, single-threaded performance is always an important factor when evaluating CPU performance. However, you should definitely not buy a used CPU, especially one that is as expensive as the Intel i9 Core. And this seller sells used processors not listed. Luckily when I received it I had the patience to resist the urge to open the box. Otherwise the seller would not have taken it back. (See the picture why I wanted to return it.) I ended up having to pay for shipping and then wait a week to get my money back.
