All these types of items seem very expensive for what they are and this is the cheapest of them all. At the same time, it is very durable and reliable. Very easy to assemble. The incline adjustment was confusing at first until I realized it was just a handle and twist with no hex bolt connecting the incline. It doesn't slope much from flat, but just enough to smooth out uneven streaks. I don't know if it's worth the money, but compared to other out-of-the-box solutions, I'd say yes. If you are good at do-it-yourself techniques, you could probably make a usable imitation for a fraction of the cost. But it looks great, it's comfortable, and it's clearly made to last, and anything that gets me on the treadmill without dying of boredom is a good thing. As others have said, if you plan to run take this off, just use it to walk.
