Review on πŸ”‹ Enhance Your Predator 3500 Inverter Generator with Extended Run Fuel Gas Cap by Joe Greiner

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The gas cap fits perfectly and serves its purpose.

This hat fits perfectly and looks great! I wanted to document my build as other reviewers had issues building their systems. It's not about the hat, it's about what they were up to. I believe that there are two keys to success in this work. First close the tank vent on the generator. Secondly, the presence of an external tank with open ventilation. To block the generator tank vent, many people remove the canister and simply close off the vent at the bottom of the tank. I decided to just install an outdoor power equipment fuel shutoff valve on the vent pipe shown in the pictures. Simply close when using the extended system and reopen during normal operation. For the external tank, I already had an older tank that has a release button that vents the tank. If you have a new tank that holds pressure (expands in the sun) you will need to remove that check valve or modify the cap in some way to allow it to vent freely. it is together I used a cap purchased here, a ΒΌ NPT brass street beer from a hardware store, a fuel shut off from a local auto parts store, some teflon tape, some clamps I had and a 5/16 fuel line with a store bought lightbulb. to Raven. If desired I have used Moeller quick disconnects (part numbers 033461-10 and 033464-10) which were also sourced from Revain. I have used them twice now and have lasted 20+ hours with great success! Much luck!
