I hope this will be a sound investment. Looks good and is very easy to use. We got it for our college student who has so far shown only moderate interest in cooking. He may be afraid to light anything on the stove, so the oven, microwave, and slow cooker were his favorite cooking methods. Now the rice cooker seems to have been added to the "approved" list. This will definitely come in handy since his roommate seems to eat a lot of rice and chicken. It's also the perfect size for a family of 1-2: fill up but don't have to fiddle with leftovers for days. The pot is easy to clean.
