Ok but dirty. suitable for small household appliances

Excellent picture. Dirty however. There is no steam hole in the lid. The lid has holes to allow steam and rice foam to escape. Under the rice cooker you need to put a pot to overflow.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Long delivery time

frustratingly good for rice cooker

We have used this rice cooker but after about 10-15 uses we found the pressure cooker was leaking water onto the counter making a mess. We tried reducing the water addition and then the rice addition. Same result. We do not recommend this rice cooker

Hopeless! fits rice cooker

I just wanted a small rice cooker for a family of 2 so I went for a smaller model. I've tried over and over again and each time it has cooked and left me with the mess I was hoping to avoid by buying a rice cooker. I followed directions, soaked the rice, kept the proportions of water and rice, but no luck. goes in the trash! I am so disappointed.

Cheap and easy to use. Food processor from the past.

Compact and easy to use, perfect for occasional use and small kitchens. Can cook enough rice for 4 people. The only downside is that if you don't turn it off after cooking the rice, the rice touching the surface of the pot will dry out. I've had rice cookers for over 30 years and this is definitely a "feature" of a 1980's rice cooker. I should have expected this as the design is that of a 1980's rice cooker. Modern rice cookers do not dry out the rice even in keep-warm mode.

  • Slim design

Beautiful looks and perfect size

I hope this will be a sound investment. Looks good and is very easy to use. We got it for our college student who has so far shown only moderate interest in cooking. He may be afraid to light anything on the stove, so the oven, microwave, and slow cooker were his favorite cooking methods. Now the rice cooker seems to have been added to the "approved" list. This will definitely come in handy since his roommate seems to eat a lot of rice and chicken. It's also the perfect size for a family of…

Lifelong friend of small appliances

My mother bought this rice cooker for my sister 5 years ago. She called him Ken. Ken was wonderful and took care of my sister so well that my mom bought me the same rice cooker. His name is Ken 2. I have had Ken 2 for four years now and he provided me with rice during and after college. The Ken 2 is still my only rice cooker and I use it almost every day. Recently, my mom bought my brother the same rice cooker as a college gift. His name is Ken 3. Like Ken 1 and Ken 2, Ken 3 provides my brother

Pros
  • Nice to use

  • Expensive insurance

This appliance is just fine - in our opinion

My niece has always loved her rice cooker so we were curious. We didn't want anything big since there are only 2 of us so this option seemed like the right choice (not that it couldn't make more rice than two). The instructions are very simple, so it seems easy, right? Not much because there is no information on how to adjust the cooking time, the degree of doneness of the rice, etc. Through trial and error we found that if we didn't soak the rice (which the instructions suggest) we ended up…

Brown rice and oatmeal. YUP !

We love our little rice cooker. There are 3 keys to successfully cooking brown rice and oatmeal. #1: Add more water than you're cooking on the stovetop. #2: First add some olive oil and #3 to the mixture. If the rice cooker shuts off, IMMEDIATELY remove the insert and stir. You can cover it again and it will stay hot for a while. I don't think I use more than 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil, which we don't taste at all. We use regular measuring cups, not the cup that came with the stove. BROWN RICE…
