Revainrating 5 out of 5

great experience

Okay. I'm obsessed with coffee. Seriously, that's a problem. Coffee shops are doing away with styrofoam cups and replacing them with paper cups. The paper does not keep the coffee warm for more than half an hour. So I bought a Yeti. Either way, it's better for the environment. So I bought this hat for my Yeti. While I don't think this lid is spill proof (hence the 3/5 on the "solid" claim), I CAN confirm that it's splash proof in a cup holder over potholes. street here in massachusetts. If you've ever come here for coffee, you know what I'm talking about. With construction sites, potholes and horrible drivers, you'll mess up your mug and cup holder. I had NO nasty gooey mess with this lid. General. I honestly haven't compared it to its Yeti counterpart. I didn't want to mess with the Yeti cover because it had better and clearer reviews. I am also very happy that she came with a brush. I can say that the suction power of this lid is the same if not better than the magnetic lid that came with my mug. I tested how long hot drinks stay hot with this lid (Just for my own reference, not many people stand standing straws with hot liquids.) Coffee bought at 6:15am was still smoking when I put the lid on 10:45 a.m. removed. Around noon it was the perfect temperature for me to drink my coffee. (I can't drink it when it's that hot. Less than hot, more than warm is my ideal.) I've also tried iced coffee, iced coffee that lasts until 4pm, which I find beyond ridiculous. (In a good way) I have four children and I often get interrupted and forget that I'm drinking coffee. So it's great for keeping the temperature and ice relatively unscathed. So the integrity of the cup holding temperature isn't really hampered by a straw or straw hole in my opinion. Overall I would buy again. And I plan on buying my husband's yeti for the next size up I bought him.

Pros
  • FASHION NEW DESIGN: Lid with straw allows you to lift your glass, frees your hands and prevents your drink from spilling or splashing on you. Even if you don't use pens, you can safely drink while driving. Create a durable straw pattern to prevent straw loss in outdoor sports and travel.
Cons
  • Bad Instructions
