My daughter fell in love with these shoes while looking for shoes for her father and daughter's dance. After reading the reviews I settled on the recommended size based on actual foot measurements which was a full size smaller than what she is currently wearing. The first pair was too big, but the shoes were so perfect that my daughter just went down a size. We ended up ordering another size smaller and it was a bit big but we decided to keep a pair. My daughter says that even after a night of dancing they were very comfortable and didn't hurt her feet! The strap is actually Velcro rather than a buckle, which I preferred because it's easier to put on and take off and can be tightened to your liking.
