I'm in the process of setting up a capture device using an old MacBook as my computer. I decided pretty quickly that I had to choose between permanently plugging and unplugging cables or adding more ports. This was a good decision for me. Rather than unplugging the Launchpad to use one of the keyboards, then swapping the cables back for the guitar MIDI controller, etc., I can now leave everything plugged in and my only problem is figuring out how to organize your space to Accommodate all your connected tools and gadgets. In a word, it saved a life. It's good value for money and appears to be well made. If the need arises I will have no hesitation in buying another one.
