upgrade the metal stand it uses was bent on mine. i removed it, put it on a flat table and bent it until it was perfectly flat on both sides knocking noise, hope this helps someone else! It definitely lowers the temperature for me and cools the laptop, but it also makes a noise in the middle and on top of the fan speed controls, like a slight click or thump, I don't know if mine was a defect or something of that nature. but for what i paid and if the noises i hear are normal i honestly just spent the extra money and bought something better. Sound aside, performance was decent. 1TB m.2Used CPU stress test and GPUZ stress test were each left for 10 minutes, overall GPU temperature dropped significantly, and average CPU and GPU speed was higher thanks to a cooler laptop, overall build quality is satisfactory, feels robust an enough on my desk with a laptop on it, very light weight so easy to carry, love the height adjuster which raises the screen to eye level works wonders for my neck, not all laptop cooling pads allow this. My only real issue is the fan noise at higher fan speeds, otherwise this would be the perfect solution for cooling a budget laptop.
