I love WiFi. The app saves a lot of time reading useless instructions, but it takes a few minutes to calibrate and set up. If you didn't have patients for something so simple, I would sit with liquid caps every day. It's discontinued and forgotten, but make sure your level is high enough to keep it running. They cost about the same as a manual timer and are also available with one, two, or four channels. Wouldn't return to anything else. It could be connected to a smart home's central hub if that's ultimately what you want. Technology is evolving faster than we know we don't need it. I'm not sure if this really improves our lives in general, but I'll take this improvement for healthier fish and well-fed rotifers.
