🐠 Jebao Doser 3.4 WiFi 4-Channel Auto Dosing Pump for Saltwater Reef Aquarium in White (Doser3.4) Review

I bought this for my reef tank. After several hours of unsuccessful attempts to set up the device, I gave up. Unfortunately, I've passed my return window, so I guess I'm just eating up the cost of this junk. I also tried contacting Jebao support which was another no-brainer. If you are looking for a good dosing pump with WiFi connection for your aquarium, look elsewhere.

2 out of 3 channels not working after 3 months - should be dosing 45ml/day, they are dosing 3ml/day. The pump is calibrated. Manual dosing works on all channels, manual dosing from the application works, scheduled dosing doesn't work. The app, which I would rate 2 out of 5, is not very intuitive. I tried to contact customer service, ended up on a website that only sells jebao ponds. Pumps; Jebao China website does not display email.

Although this pump can be calibrated, calibration does not make it accurate. Some heads may not match, for example I have one that is below 20% of the calibrated value. Calibrated to 50ml for example and pumps 40. The other 3 heads only pump 45-44 out of the requested 50. The pump is cheap, convenient and works, although I don't know how reliable it is. Just make sure you calibrate it carefully before using it to see which heads are faulty. Use suitable measuring devices for this.

I love WiFi. The app saves a lot of time reading useless instructions, but it takes a few minutes to calibrate and set up. If you didn't have patients for something so simple, I would sit with liquid caps every day. It's discontinued and forgotten, but make sure your level is high enough to keep it running. They cost about the same as a manual timer and are also available with one, two, or four channels. Wouldn't return to anything else. It could be connected to a smart home's central hub if…

First of all I want to stress that it is very important that your ISP separates your Wi-Fi signals into 2.4G and 5G since Otherwise you cannot connect to the donor. Second, make sure your mobile device's 2.4G support is enabled (connect to 2.4, not 5) when setting up the donor, otherwise the donor will not be able to complete the setup. As other reviewers have pointed out, the app is mostly rubbish. I set it up correctly on my phone (Pixel 5) but no matter what, it just wouldn't connect. I remembered other reviews mentioning that some devices didn't work. Luckily I have a tablet that isn't as new as my phone, but it worked following the exact same process. I needed a backup in case the main network went down, but I also wanted more than one because I'd read that people were having issues with Wi-Fi.
