Be careful when unpacking. The cables were difficult to untangle.
I have chosen to plug each string into a separate jack (rather than floating). This allowed for a multi-color configuration, starting with manual switching. Then I discovered that the remote (should have gotten 3, I only have 2) works with both strings! It's a bit of a learning curve, but I seem to be able to control the speed and blinking (bright only) and set any color combination with dimming control.
