Review on Efficient CableCreation 100 Pack: Three Piece Transparent Connectors for Seamless Connections by Mike Barnes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These plugs are very good.

First, note that this is a category 6a RJ45 connector, although it may work with lower (older) category ethernet cables. Secondly, note that I only used one and placed it at the end, which is the ungrounded end that has no shield connected to ground at its end. that I have used. Although the individual wires don't fit tightly into the slider holes, their diameter is closer to the holes than other sliders I've used. As a result, they seem to stay in the slider better when I thread the wires in (less accidental pull outs). (I'm no pro, I put the wires into the slider one at a time and it works really well.) Also, the end of the slider where the wires come out holds the wires much better. Space than other sliders I've used. Note that the slider has tiny slits cut into one side of the slider. These slots are above the ends of the wires. These slots should face the pins when you insert the wire/pusher assembly. The contacts are pushed through the slots in the wire using crimping pliers. Also note that one end of the slider, like the others, has large holes for wires; This is the end where you will insert the wires. The rectangular part is used to facilitate cable routing. They are designed so that you can slip a pair through each square loop and a pair through the cutouts between the two square loops. I'm not sure what to think of this, but I would say it works. Order of installations, vinyl (plastic) jacket, square conductor next to vinyl jacket, wiper next to cable holder, cut wires flush with wiper end, then insert assembly into connector, check polarity first. I'm not sure where I would connect the ground to the shield if it was the ground end. Someone came up with a better way to build a 6a fork and this is it. My usual success with 6a plugs is about 1 try out of 3 (I'm better now). The reason for this early review is that their design differences were an obvious improvement over what I was using.

Pros
  • SUPERIOR DESIGN Wired STP Connectors with clear body and gold-plated contacts to suppress stray crosstalk and ensure a reliable connection; Crimp connectors terminate in a solid or stranded wire with staggered three-point pins for a secure connection
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
