I have had the product for several months now, I only use it for hard boiled eggs. And it worked fine. Today I started my game but I was hooked on the project and couldn't tear myself away the moment the buzzer screeched. After a few minutes the buzzer stopped, which I thought was great until I found out the appliance had cooled sufficiently and started cooking again! Upon further checking and testing, I found that once the device is powered off, after a few minutes of cooling, it restarts, heats up, turns off, and restarts in an endless loop. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND CAN MELT THE PLASTIC, DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE OR CAUSE A FIRE. Although it claims to shut down automatically, it also restarts automatically. You cannot leave this device unattended due to this fatal error. I will contact the seller as these devices are NOT SAFE! Update, I contacted the seller, they said that I have to turn it off manually when the buzzer sounds, or it keeps turning off, so the auto-off feature is wrong, it should say "auto-restart". NOT SURE!
