Review on ๐ŸŒŠ Digital Water Tester for TDS and pH Measurement by Jerome Pritchard

Excellent article - pH meter

. If you're wondering what the quality of your tap water is, these two meters measure the pH and how much "solids" is in your water. Tests can help you determine if you want to buy a water filter for drinking and cooking water. Potable must have a pH of 6.5-8.5 to meet EPA standards. Level 7 is neutral. Above 8.5 - alkaline, below 6.5 - acidic. You can only buy a $15 PH meter, but I bought both meters for less than $20. The second counter measures the presence of contaminants such as heavy metals, lead, and other minerals found in homes with old plumbing. A pH meter is also handy for checking your hot tub or pool water to make sure you have enough chlorine and not too much of what's bad for your skin. They contain some chemicals that you can use to calibrate your PH meter. I also used a store bought bottle of purified water to check the gauges and they seem very accurate. I compared the solids gauge to the one that came with my water filter and they showed the same thing, so I think this gauge is accurate. I recommend it. Why not spend $20 to keep the water you and your family drink safe? Shipping took a little longer than most items but I am happy with my purchase.

Pros
  • Which water to choose: Drinking excessively acidic or alkaline water is unhealthy, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warns. Drinking water must have a pH of 6.5-8.5 to meet EPA standards.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
