Description of 🌊 Digital Water Tester for TDS and pH Measurement

Healthy pH value of drinking water: A pH value of 7 means a substance is neutral. The lower value indicates acidity, and a higher value is a sign of alkalinity. To better understand the range in pH, take a look at these examples: apple juice 3, orange juice 3.5, coffee 5.5, milk 6.2, baking soda 8.5, soapy water 10, bleach 12. Which kind of water to choose: Consuming excessively acidic or alkaline water is unhealthy, warns the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Drinking water must have a pH value of 6.5-8.5 to fall within EPA standards. Function of TDS meter: NSF International stated a TDS meter is not necessary. However, it can certify whether there are some excessive contaminants like heavy metals. Very important tips: the water may be corrosive if the TDS level is very low. The corrosive waters may leak the toxic metals from the household plumbing. So, the initial recommendation would be to get your water tested and determine the general quality and chemistry of your water. Do this before consuming or installing your water treatment system. Service and warranty:we will try to respond within 8 hours and offer lifetime technical support.

You get what you pay for.

If you thought you had to spend more than $17 for a pH meter, then so be it. Don't buy this. The TDS meter still works, but the pH meter, which has been working for a few months, now only reads 0.00. What it costs: Zero.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Don't waste money on it.

Don't waste your money on this. Pay a little more and get waterproof gauges. I had mine for a day before accidentally dropping it in a bucket of water; The TDS meter now shows 11ppm lol. The PH meter uses proprietary calibration solutions which they overcharge for; Therefore, the combination of a ph meter and a TDS meter costs only a few euros more than a single TDS meter.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Out of fashion

I bought it because of the water test function.

Can't tell if it's true or not. Poured 3 glasses of water.1.Tap2. filtered with Berkey3 filtered with Berkey and then run through Brita. No matter what I did, I couldn't get it to erase the first few test numbers. I clicked clear and it became 0. Once I put it in the second jar it added the first count with the second count and so on. I can't find a way to ignore previous test numbers. Useless.

nice design; Imperfect execution.

I bought these two inexpensive pin gauges for use in hydroponic gardening. Both arrived quickly, beautifully designed and packaged. Unfortunately, the ones I received have both flaws: - The TDS meter display is missing pixels, making it impossible to decipher some of the numbers - The PH meter just drifts aimlessly when measuring after calibration. It starts with a semi-plausible value and then just drifts without stabilizing until the reading becomes clearly wrong. Too bad because these…

Mystery liquid in cap

Just received today and when I removed the tip from the pH reader there was a clear liquid in the cap as if someone had put it back in after use but never dried out. I know the directions say some sort of crystallization can occur, but there's nothing that can contain a transparent liquid, especially in such an amount, like 1/4 teaspoon of a mysterious transparent liquid with a strange smell. Because they are from China and this coronavirus is spreading, I couldn't use these after laying out…

Works great except I had no idea I would need to buy additional pH test bags if I want to use the pH meter after first use. The instructions clearly state that you should calibrate the meter if you use it frequently or if you don't use it for a long time. Um, that means all the time. I contacted the seller and he referred me to Amazon to purchase additional packs. I would like the item description to state that an additional purchase is required. Also, I tested the pH of several types of water…

pH meter not calibrated

Just received TDS and pH meter. The TDS meter works fine but the pH meter does not. First I measured tap water with it, showed a pH value of 9.5. This is drinking water, the readings are almost like a Na2CO3 solution! So I calibrated to the standards provided: first pH 9.18, then pH 4.01, then pH 6.86. After calibrating the instrument, I returned to test these calibration standards. The readings were satisfactory for pH 4.01 and pH 6.86 solutions, but for pH 9.18 solutions the readings were…

Pros
  • Very important tips: Water can be aggressive when the TDS is very low. Corrosive water can leak toxic metals from household plumbing. So the first recommendation would be to test your water and determine the overall quality and chemistry of your water. Do this before drinking or installing a water purification system.
Cons
  • Crumpled

Do not rely on a pH meter

Made very cheaply. The TDS meter is good - as far as I can tell, it does a good job of measuring the *relative* amount of dissolved salts in a solution. Perfect/exact every time - no. Of course he does a decent job. A pH meter, on the other hand, is absolutely NOT calibrated. Don't expect a pH meter to be within 2 pH units when you buy it. You have to calibrate it and I have to admit that it's difficult and you only get one chance to do it with the materials provided. Even after you calibrate…

Pros
  • TDS Meter Function: NSF International has stated that a TDS meter is not required. However, it can certify the presence of excessive pollutants such as heavy metals.

Excellent article - pH meter

. If you're wondering what the quality of your tap water is, these two meters measure the pH and how much "solids" is in your water. Tests can help you determine if you want to buy a water filter for drinking and cooking water. Potable must have a pH of 6.5-8.5 to meet EPA standards. Level 7 is neutral. Above 8.5 - alkaline, below 6.5 - acidic. You can only buy a $15 PH meter, but I bought both meters for less than $20. The second counter measures the presence of contaminants such as heavy…

Pros
  • Which water to choose: Drinking excessively acidic or alkaline water is unhealthy, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) warns. Drinking water must have a pH of 6.5-8.5 to meet EPA standards.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
