The reason for 4 stars - a large frying pan arrived crooked. (They ship a replacement kit, wish it was just a pan replacement, but easy shipping to Kohls makes it painless.) Also, I've only been using this kit for less than a month so I'm giving it a 5 star review, if possible in a year or so. So far, the bottoms of pots and pans have not discolored. Heat distribution is very good compared to any other set I've used, food cooks faster so better keep that in mind. I haven't used them in the oven but I don't think that will be a problem as long as you stay at the recommended temperature which I think is 400 degrees. Please do not hesitate to buy, they are very beautiful and cook perfectly.
