Poor seal: coffee, tea and espresso

POSSIBLE RECENT UPDATE: I don't usually go back to reviews but I was frustrated with the issues I was having with the seal. I removed the gasket and refilled it, rotating the carafe much harder than I should (especially since the carafe is glass with a stainless steel bottom that can come loose). I also didn't refill with medium ground coffee grounds. This time there was no leak as I have described below. However, the gasket is difficult to replace compared to Bialetti, which offers a much easier replacement of parts. I even took measurements and couldn't find an exact match with other pads. It gets two stars for the aesthetic design, but ultimately the effort I had to go through to make a regular cup of coffee (mostly drip style) just isn't worth the effort just for the glass carafe. I'll probably replace it with a bigger Bialetti than the one I have which is way too small and that's what made me buy this big Rumnia in the first place. I had to stick with the Bialetti brand based on the principle: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. UPDATE: I reduced the amount of coffee I put in the filter basket. While I've never stuffed coffee before - you're not supposed to stuff coffee in a coffee maker - incomplete filling of the basket helped almost eliminate the leaky seal problem detailed below. However, it still leaked a little and the end product is the same as filter coffee. OP: I bought this because I liked the style and the glass carafe, and it makes a little more coffee than my smaller Berletti moka pot. But the coffee started dripping down the side of the gasket after just a few uses, as if enough coffee was dripping off the gasket to splash onto the gas stove flames and hiss in the flames. While swapping out the pad might solve the problem, there are no Rumia pads at Revain. Berletti pads on the other hand are readily available on this site and the pad on my (smaller) 3 year old Berletti still works well.
