Exactly what I was looking for

I needed a way to make an espresso latte that was smaller and cheaper than an espresso machine and it was perfect! It is very convenient to use, easy to clean and makes excellent coffee. It's now become part of my weekend morning routine! I can highly recommend this mocha pot with glass drip tray. It's a lot easier to see when it's done, and I've never burned my coffee in it.

Pros
  • Excellently done
Cons
  • Almost never

Looks good but doesn't work

I am very disappointed in this coffee maker. Leaks while making coffee. Tried to tighten it all the way, still leaking. When trying to unscrew the glass, it splintered. Only after making the coffee three times did I have to return it to Revine. There was a problem with the gasket and the glass. Glass is not heat resistant enough. If you want to buy it for decoration, do so. But not for making coffee.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The sticker on the handle fell off.

I love this little coffee pot. 4 MONTHS. The handle broke off this morning while trying to make coffee in my $49 pot. I heard him click yesterday as he put his top back on. And today it completely fell off. How is the metal handle attached you ask? I assume it's tack welded, oh it almost looks like epoxy. You cannot tighten or loosen the canister by holding the handle. It's not strong enough, it will fall off. You have to hold the glass with your hand and turn it that way, not the handle. The…

No it's not! for Stovetop Espresso & Moka Pots

Formerly from Keurig and Coffee Maker I can say with confidence that this is the one! It combines the strong flavor of Keurig with the practicality (and improved version) of a percolator. The material is high quality material and the way it was packaged really shows it. I also found it to be very durable and everything bolts/fits perfectly. The coffee really is ready in minutes and I had no problem cleaning the mocha pot. It was definitely worth the $39 I spent on this product. Update: A little

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Espresso at home without a large coffee maker

This kid is cool. He's so durable. I used to have an espresso machine. It was taking up too much counter space so I gave up and went to a French Press I bought in a famous Swedish department store. It was big but still needed a kettle to heat the water. Also, it was thin and falling apart. When it broke I decided I wanted an all-in-one but didn't want to give up an entire square foot of workspace. I did some research and realized that a stovetop coffee maker might be what I really need. What's…

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Poor Heat Transfer in Coffee, Tea, and Espresso

1. Poor heat transfer causes water to boil and slowly rise, leaving most of the coffee there and simmering while you wait for it to finish. This guy took a few minutes to cook as much as an old, traditionally designed moka kettle took in 10 seconds. This digests the taste of the coffee. Slightly bitter and sour. I did a blind test with my wife (with the same reasoning); she could taste the richness of flavor in the old pot of mok; the new one was simply overcooked in taste. Yes I used preheated

  • Cool

  • Crumpled

Poor seal: coffee, tea and espresso

POSSIBLE RECENT UPDATE: I don't usually go back to reviews but I was frustrated with the issues I was having with the seal. I removed the gasket and refilled it, rotating the carafe much harder than I should (especially since the carafe is glass with a stainless steel bottom that can come loose). I also didn't refill with medium ground coffee grounds. This time there was no leak as I have described below. However, the gasket is difficult to replace compared to Bialetti, which offers a much…
